Xinhua announced just a while ago that France’s lower house of Parliament has voted today to make download content from the Internet legal.
That is considered to have a big impact on many companies dealing with copyright.
The decision makes download for private use only legitimate, under the condition that the users pay a general rolaylty fee.
The French government was furious. Xinhua reports that the French Culture Minister Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres said later Thursday that he was determined to go back on the vote.
